English to Dutch translations [PRO] Idioms / Maxims / Sayings / colloquial/casual speech
English term or phrase:end of story
Hope the context is clear; when one wants to indicate that a topic is closed and discussing it further makes no sense anymore. TIA!
Well, thank you all for such a mighty response ;-) For the time being, I am inclined towards granting points to Linda; frankly, I thought of something like 'eind van verhall', but, to be honest, I don't speak a word of Dutch (I can communicate in German, which enables me to understand the language of the Netherlands a bit). A more comprehensive explanation of my problem can be found at: http://www.proz.com/kudoz/1256779. I'd also like to draw your attention to that question, and ask for help there, too. I don't know whether the answerers have received any info to their e-mails. Please, do take a look & stay tuned :-)
