Financiele sector is correct maaar past moeilijk in de zin door de herhaling van het woord sector. Bij 'banken' zou ik 'verzekeraars toevoegen. Financials wordt inderdaad ook veel gebruikt, maar vind ik geen mooi Nederlands. In ieder geval bedankt.
