English term or phrase: appeal settlement
The terms appeal and settlement are clear enough when used separately, but I don't understand the combination in the context below. The source is a purchase contract issued by an Italian supplier of automotive parts.

The payment conditions are the following:
1. 5% down payment upon reception of the acknowledgement of order duly stamped and signed by the Supplier without any reserve, against bank guarantee dischargeable at the final acceptance and subject to the receipt of the Supplier’s *appeal settlement* of the invoice.
