English term or phrase:track shoes
Suspected to be part of aircraft landing gear.
We talk about upper/lower track shoes, controllable bypass valve, manual drive gearbox, etc..
Patins de chenille applies to tracked vehicles (tanks, etc.) Further research indicated that the term applied to shoes that slide left and right on a metal track. I finally tranlated the term to "sabots de rail" and the client was happy with it. Thanks to all - Seadag TRADUCTIONS TECHNIQUES BSL (email@example.com)
