English term or phrase: Hickory, dickory, dock. The mouse ran up the clock
"hickory, dickory, dock, the mouse ran up the clock, my little girl's getting married today".
Si vous avez une ide, je prends...
Merci d'avance

"Une poule sur un mur...
Explanation:

Good luck, this one is tricky.

Explanation:
1. I don't know the French equivalant
2. I note that your translation is classified as "literary", and wonder if you are involved in a "who-dunnit" detective-type story. If this is so, you might get clues from google.com where there are references to this nursery rhyme, with UK and USA versions.
3. Also at google.com, there is a reference to Agatha Christie's book, which might give you the same type of clues
Hope this helps
