A crowd forms of the longing to remain separate. People speak to each other to keep their distance. They gather and divide into a crowd of individuals. They collate and stand looking so as not to be looked at. So as not to be recognized. Fame is the most excessive form of anonimity. And success is pure failure. They watch somebody being arrested for a sense of dignity. People keep budgies to remind themselves of freedom. People keep children so they can forget about themselves.

Je crois qu'il n'y a pas de mystère dans cette contradiction : il n'est que de remarquer que les parisiens, n'ont qu'une hâte : fuir Paris... pour se retouver sur les plages bondées de St Tropez.
