English term or phrase: Gift from God
This new home is truly a gift from God.
K. Keary
French translation:Cette maison est vraiment un don du ciel
Explanation:
A gift from god is something heavenly and therefore a miracle so it is not a gift per say it is a miracle.

Voici donc pourquoi j'ai utilisé don et non un cadeau car dieu ne fait pas de cadeau.

Merci Nancy

Un cadeau du ciel

Explanation:
Whilst the exact translation would be 'un cadeau de Dieu', in French you would be more likely to use 'un cadeau du ciel' (a gift from heaven).

disagree  Theodore Quester: Your translation is fine, but I don't see why a literal translation doesn't work (see below)

agree  Bram Poldervaart: or 'un don du ciel' = un grand bonheur, tandis que cadeau de Dieu réfère directement à Dieuwilst

disagree  jgal: these examples refer only to a spritual context. Not at all the same as talking about a new house!
9 hrs
-> I haven't heard "a gift from God" used before in any non-spiritial context either (nor, I doubt, have you)

un cadeau venu du ciel

Explanation:
I think you would normally say "venu du ciel". Ciel as in heaven, anyway, is the normal way of translating God in such cases.

Cette maison est vraiment une bénédiction

Explanation:
"Cette maison est vraiment une bénédiction"
(bénédiction: "...un bienfait, quelque chose qui arrive au bon moment" Larousse)
Very often used, mostly by Christians

"Cette maison est vraiment un cadeau du ciel / Cette maison est vraiment un cadeau venu du ciel"
Could be used by persons still under the influence of the Christian culture. They would preferably use "Cette maison est vraiment un cadeau tombé du ciel"

"Cette maison est vraiment un cadeau de Dieu / Cette maison est vraiment un cadeau divin"
Could be used by practising Christians. They would preferably use "Cette maison est vraiment un cadeau du bon Dieu"

"Cette maison est vraiment un don divin", "Cette maison est vraiment un don de Dieu"
Not used due to the particular other meanings of "don". A talent or a baby is "un don de Dieu", not really a house.

Avoid confusion with: "Cette maison est vraiment divine"
Often use to describe a lovely house (nothing to do with god)

It's now up to you to decide, depending on the context.
