English to French translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Automotive / Cars & Trucks / Suspension
English term or phrase: ladder bars
P. ex. http://tinyurl.com/ypzauk
(parfois « ladder links »)
Un peu de contexte :
« (The truck has been) back halved with a Competition Engineering kit, coil over/ladder link, narrowed Ford 9" rear end with 4.86 gears and 32-14-14 M/T drag slicks. »
Où j'en suis :
« (...) suspension arrière modifiée avec trousse Competition Engineering (CE), ressorts superposés et [*ladder bars*], différentiel Ford de 9 po à rapport 4,86 à 1 et pneus de course 32-14-14 M/T. »

I opened this question thinking ... ladder bars --> barres porte-échelle

BUT - this is something else :)

So, I can't help with 'ladder bars' - but I think 'différentielle' might usefully be replaced with 'pont arrière', since it is 'narrowed' (raccourci ?) and I don't see how you can raccourcir un différentielle.

Asker: C'est vrai, j'ai oublié « narrowed ». Merci!
