when a one-way clutch is employed in which a higher gear clutch transmits drive force in only one direction, from the engine to the automatic transmission, slippage of the one-way clutch, which occurs before shifting in the automatic shift mode causes the rotating elements on the engine side to rotate relatively in the opposite direction from the drive transmission with respect to the rotating elements closer to the transmission, so any subsequent engine output increase may result in an unpleasant crunching noise when the rotating elements on the engine side are switched to the drive transmission direction with respect to the rotating elements closer to the transmission.

Asker: merci pour cette précision et pour votre explication

Asker: en fait le texte mentionne également des low/high gears et j'ai l'impression que c'est des vitesses dont on parle (on cite notamment le passage d'un 4th gear à un 3rd gear) donc je me demande si c'est pas embrayage à vitesse élevée, mais j'ai peu de connaissance dans ce domaine
