Explanation:
C'est l'adjectif formé à partir d'indice.
Les gérants de portefeuille et investisseurs, quand ils composent leur portefeuille, calquent souvent une partie de celui-ci sur la composition d'un indice (donc au pire leur portefeuille fluctue comme l'indice - ni pire ni mieux).
On parle aussi de gestion indicielle (je suppose que c'est une gestion qui prend pour base les indices).
