Explanation:
Someone who's "autodidacte" is someone that learn by himself. So I think that could be proper in your context.

Explanation:
If it means that the teams have been put together in this way. Unless the original was written by a person other than a native speaker of English, then "formed" more naturally means constituted than trained. If it is possible for the meaning to be connected with training, then the word would be "autodidacte".
