It usually goes in combination with the invalidity insurance (german IV, French AI). For the AHV/AVS there is a part that is to be paid by the employer, and a part to be paid by the employee. Both depend on the salary, and if the salary contains extras such as stock options, the question is, if they "count" for determining the revenue or not.

D'après ce que j'ai trouvé dans Termium pour rentes, pension, etc., *qualified* serait *admissible*. Et il y a 67 sites Web en français qui utilisent le sigle AHV (voir site Alta Vista, ci-bas), y compris les sites officiels du Parlement suisse.
