-year to date amortization = cumul annuel de l'amortissement = the amount of amortization taken on assets (or long term debts) from the first day of the present financial year up to today's date
ex: for a financial year starting on January 1, 1999 and assets purchased on the same date with an amortization rate of $ 10.000 a year, on December 31, 2000 the life to date amortization will be $ 20,000 and the year to date amortization will be $10,000
