English term or phrase:splash back projector
Context: technical plan for the set of a TV game
Whole sentence: The splash back projector (back wall, under balcony stage left and right) is made of an effect played in a loop from another DDR.
Actually, I wonder if that isn't it after all: a 'back projector' in 3 locations for playing-in video 'splashes'; that's the only sort of sense I can make of it, but I don't have specific experience of this term, I'm afraid!
I don't know the term, but from the context, I would guess it means a (video) projector used to create a 'splash' on the background of the set — I don't imagine it is a 'back projector' (= retroprojécteur), though that is how I at first read it.
