I know what skip sheathing is - I even have a picture of it - but I just can't find the term for it in French. Help!

Le "non jointif" est éventuellement à rajouter s'il y a un doute, sur le continent américain le voligeage est rarement jointif, en Europe les plus usité dans certaines régions ardoisières est jointif (l'ardoise l'exige, les bardeaux non).

Le voligeage n'est pas exactement la même chose, quoique proche. La bonne réponse est "support en bois non jointif / support de couverture non jointif". C'est à cause du "non jointif" que j'accepte la réponse. Merci!
