English to French translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / finition de surface du béton, coffrages
English term or phrase:wrought thicknessed square edged boards
Contexte : Class F2: The irregularities in the finish shall be no greater than those obtained from the use of **wrought thicknessed square edged boards** arranged in a uniform pattern. Il s'agit d'un anglais d'Angleterre. Merci pour votre aide. Ces « boards » servent de coffrage à béton.
Reference information: Hi!
My ideas on the formwork/shuttering are:
wrought = metal
thicknessed = stiffened or non-deflecting
punctuating the source; square, edged boards and square-edged boards give two possible interpretations:
planches carrées métalliques renforcées avec bords finis (special edges) ou
planches métalliques renforcées avec bords carréés.
I won't chance a French trans. I am too tired!
