English term or phrase: taped out and shuttled
Regarding the manufacture of IC chip: "Two versions of the design were executed, a standard-flow design and one employing clock gating and voltage islands to reduce dynamic power. The standard design remained on paper, but the low-power design was taped out and shuttled at the manufacturing company." Unclear whether it is colloquial (i.e. old method of taping out a circuit or putting IC on a tape for auto insertion), or a specific term. Could shuttle be a step and repeat process to make the waffer?

Explanation:

Thanks for the help, Yves, That was a fair guess. I could not trace taped out (as in tape) and left finalisé, but I was lucky to find shuttle eventually, which relates to balancing prod. lines with a shuttle belt at TSMC (Taipei), a very specific term for which I put assemblé.

neutral  Jacques Bermond: J'avais pensé à "emballé et envoyé" (to tap, fait "tapped" avec 2 "p", donc c'est plus probablement "to tape"), mais je me suis abstenu parce "shuttle at" me pose une question que je n'ai pas pu résoudre. "shuttle to and fro", oui, mais "at"?
