English to French translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Law (general)
English term or phrase:meet its burden of proof
Claimant must meet its burden of proof and demonstrate that the decreased revenue in 2007 and 2008 was caused exclusively by Respondent
or simply "doit démontrer" if it is a simple civil matter.
In my opinion, it is not necessary to insert every single co-occurent (or word that can be used in association with any given expression).
Cramming in too much can make a text obscure. It really depends on the context.
Had the posting been about Criminal Law, and it can happen in income tax matters depending on the national jurisdiction, then "doit prouver au-delà de tout doute raisonnable" is a standard answer.
