English term or phrase:jurisdiction of incorporation
(for a company)
In French for France and for Canada (please specify which is which) Thanks.
juridiction en constitution (en personne morale) / (en société)
Explanation: On EuroDicAutom, "incorporation" is given in French which I don't like as "incorporation" in English refers really to the moment when a company is actually formed, cf. 'certificate of incorporation'.
When I checked out the GDT for "certificate of incorporation" to get what I hoped would be a better result, it came up with "consitution en personne morale". The meaning matches up.
Whilst I would expect the EuroDicAutom to give a European French result, what was given - considering the way I asked the question - was inadequate. What the GDT gave however, as explained above, matches the commonly used terms in France.
