Si 2/: ..représente une amélioration des actifs de Continental de ..$.
Mais, d'un pur point de vue grammatical, je choisirais 1/, d'autant que la traduction en français laisse planer le même doute que le texte original (sauf si vous autilisez majeur/majeure).
