English term or phrase: CIO
Texte marketing sur le e-business
Contexte :
Attrition and the loss of institutional knowledge. Today’s CIOs are faced with higher turnover rates than ever before. The impact on the business is two-fold: the cost of missed opportunity and the loss of critical systems knowledge.

Chief Investment Officer

Explanation:
In French also the same term is maintained :
See the text below :

CIO

Explanation:
Instead of "franciser" the English expression, perhaps this can be applied:

"De nos jours, les "Directeur-en-Chef des Investissements" font face.......

If this text is to be addressed to strickly French speaking people, clients, customers, consumers, etc.. I gather they would appreciate a proper French translation of the expression, instead of trying to decipher for themselves the meaning of CIO (Chief Investments Officer).

Hope this helps.

J'espère que

CIO - Chief Investment Officer - Chief Information Officer - Chief Informatics Officer

Explanation:
Leave as CIO, whatever the context, the English is used and will be understood by those for whom the text is intended.

CIO can be used for :

Chief Investment Officer : a senior accounting position within a large company.

Chief Information Officer : can cover rather a lot of things but is essentially a job title attached to a person who is in charge of diffusing information about his/her employer.

Chief Informatics Officer : senior position within a company in charge of IT.

Be careful with the last two as they are fairly close in their spelling yet their functions are quite different!

That said, you are not apparently concerned by the last two as it appears fairly clear to me that the first one is that which is to be understood from your context. In any event, leave it as is, CIO.
