Hi,
I'm translating 2 american documents (into French for Belgium & France) on the subject of connections, adapters & swivels (hydraulic & gas).

Those connectors etc. have all the following kind of units: "npt" ("npt(m)" & "npt(f)" with "m" for male & "f" for female), ex. an adapter "3/8 in. npt(m) x 1/2 in. npt(f)".

I have also to suggest a conversion of these npt units into continental Europe units.

Therfor I have 2 questions, hoping someone can help me on this...:

1) Are all tubes, connectors, etc. also in inches in Europe (I believe they are, like 4'' tube): correct?

2) How do I convert or express "npt" for continental Europe?

Thank you!

Eric

Thank you for your answer and check. It's what I thought, but I prefer to double-check.

agree  Tony M: Yes, there is no queston of 'converting', these are simply std. threadforms, as are the dimensions in inches; otherwise, pipes etc. are dimensioned in metric in Europe
