English to French translations [PRO] Medical (general) / obstetrics
English term or phrase:baby L/S
This term appears on an antenatal card, in a table with columns headed: Date, Antenatal information, Type and place of delivery, Baby L/S weight, Postnatal information, and feeding. I think L/S means lecithin/sphingomyelin ratio. But do the French use the same abbreviation for lécithine, sphingomyeline? I can't find anything about it on google about it.
Le rapport lécithine/sphingomyéline ne s'obtient que par amniocintèse, qui n'est pas un examen de routine. Après avoir demandé au client L/S veut en fait dire: Live/Stillborn! Merci quand même. 2 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
