réaction d'inhibition de l'hémagglutination (IHA) Explanation: abreviation pour "hemagglutination inhibition test" (on trouve également HAI) Source GDT Définition : L'hémagglutination passive provoquée par un immun-sérum spécifique de l'antigène soluble fixé sur les hématies est empêchée lorsque cet immun-sérum a été préalablement mélangé à un produit (sérum, urine) contenant cet antigène. Ce produit a ainsi neutralisé l'anticorps de l'immun-sérum qui ne sera plus disponible pour agglutiner les hématies porteuses de l'antigène (réaction positive). Cette réaction sert à doser les hormones plasmatiques ou urinaires, p. ex. les gonadotrophines dans le diagnostic biologique de la grossesse.
