English term or phrase: roll over
I would like to know how to command a dog to roll over. Can I say "retourne-toi"?
becky tucker
French translation:"Roule!"
Explanation:
"Retourne-toi" would be ok too, and the meaning is right. But it is longer. Usually, a command to a dog is better kept short and simple.

Of course, your command could be anything, any sound, as long as the dog understand that this particular sound means that he is asked to roll over.

Have fun!
