C'est souvent le cas dans des questionnaires psy. La personne doit répondre (p.ex., à la question "je me sens bien/mal) et, en dessous de la question il y a une barre (le continuum) où, à l'une extrémité il y a le mot "bien", à l'autre, le mot "mal", et la personne doit se situer en se rapprochant de l'une ou de l'autre extrémité...
Dans votre cas, il y aura d'un côté, "je lis attentivement" et, de l'autre côté, "je me jette dans l'affaire" (disons, grosso modo...)
