arrière latéral = fullback

This is what my sports dictionary says. If you want 'right back' for football, I am absolutely sure that it's 'arrière droit'. Think about it ... 'latéral' means 'side'.

Thus :
arrière droit = right back
arrière gauche = left back
arrière latéral = full back
arrière central = centre back

I just wouldn't want you to make a mistake.
