English to French translations [Non-PRO]
English term or phrase:"How do you arrive at school?"
I have 3 questions i am suppose to check (for French class), but i forgot my book. And i would like to make sure they are correct.
"Comment arrives-tu à l'école?" "Comment arrivez-vous à l'école?"
Explanation: You use "tu" or "vous" depending on whether you talk to one or to several persons. You would also use "vous" if talking to an adult or someone for whom you have respect, such as a teacher, rather than a child.
Again, I would not use the form "tu arrives" or "vous arrivez", as it is not interrogative.
You could even use the form "Comment est-ce que tu arrives à l'école?" "Comment est-ce que vous arrivez à l'école?", which are every bit as proper, but somewhat heavier.
