Sans contexte, il me semble impossible de déterminer le sens exact de cette phrase qui me semble être un piège.

To feel srongly about something = croire fortement en quelque chose.
Cela ne signifie rien d'autre à ma connaissance. (les interprétations donnnées précédemment sont plausibles, mais dans ce cas il me semble que l'anglais est rédigé de manière incorrecte). Je me permets de vous en proposer une nouvelle qui me semble plus proche du sens d'origine.

Par ailleurs earth = terre (nom commun qui signifie l'endroit où l'on habite , les terres que l'on cultive, la région d'origine, mais seulement rarement notre planète Terre qui prend habituellement une majuscule en anglais et toujours en français).

L'avenir de la planète me préoccupe beaucoup.


Explanation:
Le français n'est pas friand de la voix passive. L'avenir (au lieu de protection) me semble plus habituel en français (si on veut protéger la planète, c'est pour assurer son avenir.
