When the first SIG Kadet came out it was the only airplane on the market totally designed from the ground up for learning to fly R/C. Since then, thousands of new modelers have successfully learned to fly with the Kadet! It's gentle flying characteristics made it a legend in its own time! Now Sig has taken the time-tested Kadet aerodynamics and blended in modern computer generated construction, to make the new Kadet LT-40 the fastest building Kadet yet!

Like all Sig Kadets, the LT-40 behaves perfectly in flight, with true "hands off" stability on all axis. If the student pilot gets disoriented, merely let go of the control sticks and the LT-40 will recover itself and retun to level flight within 2 to 4 seconds. Because the LT-40 is bigger than the average .40 size trainer, it's easier to see in air. Even more important, the LT-40 has a much lighter wing loading than most other trainers, which lets it fly slower! Slower speed gives the student pilot more time to think and react to what the model is doing, thus making it a lot easier to learn to fly R/C.

Kadet LT-40 kit features: top quality Sig balsa, plywood, & spruce; ultra-simple lite ply fuselage; simple, strong wing design with spruce spars; complete hardware pack which includes control horns, pushrods, wheel collars, etc; durable glass-filled engine mounts; genuine Sig Easy Hinges; Du-Bro fuel tank; Du-Bro spinner; Du-Bro wheels; and decals.
