Hello my name is Matthew. I am going to France on holiday. I am staying at a lovely resort in the sunny Vendee.

It's half-nine and we are setting off in the car from Milton Keynes. It's a four hour drive to Portsmouth. So we are going to listen to our harry Potter tapes.

"Mum, can we have Harry Potter on plese," said my younger brother James.

"You've got it," my mum relpied back.

"Oh oh," I thopught, I was meant to pick it up from the hall. I'd forgotten it and now we had nothing to listen to.

Finally after fife hours drive, we arrived at Portsmouth. We had been held up on the motorway. As we were queuing up to board the boat, a man came up to the car and told us that we wouldn't we sailing for another three hours becasue the boat's engine had failed. my dad was really cross and said he would write a very strong letter to P & O. There was nothing else to do but walk around. We had to so in loads of shops and look at loads of boring things like perfume and body lotion. This was turing out to be the worst holiday ever. i hope the rest of the holiday will be a bit better.
