English term or phrase: cake of vegetables
This is a French vegetable recipe that I've seen described as a ga^teau. So I'm guessing cake of vegetables. I need the French pronunciation. Thanks.

Explanation:
Perhaps another word for gâteau would be easier to pronouce such as:

"Une quiche Lorraine aux légumes"

Quiche is already adopted and part of the English language. You may not find any difficulty in the pronounciation.

Hope this helps.

Explanation:
I am not quite sure what you mean. You have seen the name of this recipe in French and you want the French pronounciation? All you have given was the name you guess it would be in English.

But in case you want the pronounciation of the word "gâteau", in French Canada it would be pronounced "gaw-toe" and in France "gah-toe".

Please, give us more information if you need anything more.

Explanation:
I admit to having trouble getting to grips with what was required here.

A quiche is not necessarily the same thing as a gateau, although of course a gateau can be savoury or sweet. A quiche contains certain ingredients and of course can contain vegetables but without further info...
