Hello all
Can sbdy help translate or understand:

"The characterization step will then take the color response of the telecine so that a 3D LUT transform can be provided to place the telecine on aim" and particularly "on aim".

Context:
Telecines must be calibrated and characterized to allow the system to work properly. The first step in calibration is to set up the telecine to a proper TAF position.
This sets the illumination levels and places the telecine controls at an optimum starting position for the next step in the process which involves using the TCS film.
The TCS calibration builds on top of the TAF calibration setting allowing the telecine to capture extended tonescale information.
