turn on, tune in and drop out (de timothy leary) entrez en résonance avec vous-même, avec le monde, puis décrochez Explanation: "Leary later explained in his 1983 autobiography Flashbacks: 'Turn on' meant go within to activate your neural and genetic equipment. Become sensitive to the many and various levels of consciousness and the specific triggers that engage them. Drugs were one way to accomplish this end. 'Tune in' meant interact harmoniously with the world around you - externalize, materialize, express your new internal perspectives. Drop out suggested an elective, selective, graceful process of detachment from involuntary or unconscious commitments. 'Drop Out' meant self-reliance, a discovery of one's singularity, a commitment to mobility, choice, and change. Unhappily my explanations of this sequence of personal development were often misinterpreted to mean 'Get stoned and abandon all constructive activity'." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turn_on,_tune_in,_drop_out |

The lesson I have learned from over 300 sessions, and which I have been passing on to others, can be stated in 6 syllables: Turn on, tune in, drop out. "Turn on" means to contact the ancient energies and wisdoms that are built into your nervous system. They provide unspeakable pleasure and revelation. "Tune in" means to harness and communicate these new perspectives in a harmonious dance with the external world. "Drop out' means to detach yourself from the tribal game. http://www.amazon.com/Politics-Ecstasy-Leary-Timothy/dp/1579... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 30 mins (2008-07-10 12:40:35 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Peut-être "s'harmoniser" au lieu de "s'accorder" ? ... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 41 mins (2008-07-10 12:51:43 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- C'est une question de point de vue, je trouve le slogan plus fort à l'infinitif.

To take or cause to take a mind-altering drug, especially for the first time. 2. Slang : To make or become aware or responsive. 2. To withdraw from established society, especially because of disillusion with conventional values. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 55 mins (2008-07-10 13:05:57 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Bon j'ai cogité trop longtemps sur ta question...Y a eu plein de réponses entre temps ! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2008-07-10 14:42:57 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Au lieu de "goûte"..."illumine-toi"... |

turn on, tune in and drop out (de timothy leary) Allume, renais, décroche Explanation: To turn on would be to find a sacrament which returns you to the temple of God, your own body. Go out of your mind. Get high. That would be "ALLUME". To tune in would be to be reborn ... to start a new sequence of behaviour that reflects your vision. Start your own religion. That would be "RENAIS". To drop out would be to detach yourself from the external social drama which is a dehydrated nd ersatz as TV or to quit the 'normal' lifestyles. That would be "DÉCROCHE". |
