C14-16 Alcane Hydroxy

Explanation:
The only one I am sure of is "Alcane". I found Alkane in Routledge Technical Dictionary under Chemical/Detergent.

oxy alcane C14-16

Explanation:
I'm not a chemist, but this is the information that I found:
"alkane"= "alcane" (m)-"Nom générique des hydrocarbures saturés de formule CnH2n+2 (méthane, éthane, propane, butane, etc.)."-from Hachette.

"Hydroxy"= "oxy" in French,(page 252 of Patterson's French/English Dictionary for Chemists). Conversely, "oxy" in French can mean "hydroxy" or "oxy" in English. According to Dorland's Medical Dictionary, "hydroxy" is "a chemical prefix indicating the presence of the univalent radical OH". According to Dorland's, OH=hydroxyl, which, (according to Patterson's) in French, is oxyhydrile (m). I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Andréa
