I don't find any correct French translation for that except "pom-pom girl" so I need other suggestions. It refers to these girls who encourage the team to win the game.

Explanation:
Pom-pom girls and cheerleaders are not the same thing in the States. I was one myself once. The cheerleaders start the yells and take the lead while pom-pom girls come on the second place. I would not translate but explain (....)

I didn't know the difference between "cheerleader" and pom-pom girl, so it helps a lot. I found "meneur/se" the best translation. Thanks

Capitaine des fans

Explanation:
Bon courage!
