The problem with "collateral" in French (and Spanish) is that it's a "faux ami" and is used as well like "collateral (or side) effects". If your text means that the company allows some budget to cover marketing and product launching, its better to interpret "collateral" as a business partner's "counterpart" investment. |

En anglais, l'adjéctif procède le nom ; en français il vient après. La première réponse proposée inverse le sens de votre original, se retraduisant par "collateral marketing", pas du tout la meme chose! Le sens (en anglais commercial) de collateral est quelque chose qui est donné en garantie (security) ou en nantissement (pledge) pour couvrir un risque, dans le cas d'un pret, par exemple. Ainsi, "marketing collateral" est quelque chose qui soutient en quelque sorte le marketing, pour apporter plus de credibilité à un produit. Dans la cas d'un dossier d'info donné à des commerciaux, je pense que vous pourrez aller jusqu'à un sens du "nécessaire marketing" ou cette idéee du moins. De meme qu' il y a le Web marketing, le E marketing, le Interactive marketing, il existe effectivement un collateral(adjectif)marketing (nom). Et il existe aussi, toujours en anglais, les collateral marketing materials: for example, brochures, data sheets, logos, corporate ID, and so on. Pour en revenir à tes moutons, j'utiliserais: le matériel collatéral de marketing ou le matériel de marketing collatéral est inclus dans le matériel de vente fourni à l'équipe de vente. La même logique s´applique à product collateral. Le mot collatéral n´a donc rien à voir avec le mot employé à propos de prêts bancaires et autres opérations de ce genre.
