English term or phrase: land mowers, household machinery
 Drain fuel from land mowers and other household machinery.
I think "mower" is "tondeuse", but isn't it supposed to cut grass? What's a "land mower"? As for "household machinery", I was thinking of saying "machinerie d'usage domestique", but I'm not quite sure.

French translation:tondeuse / machines domestiques
Explanation:
You could use machines domestiques to include all types of household machinery, incuding the " electrodomestiques". see the definition taken from a french site :
Machines domestiques :

cireuse, essoreuse, machine à coudre, machine à éplucher les légumes, machines à laver, lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, machine à repasser ou, repasseuse, machine à tricoter ou, tricoteuse

Tondeuse; appareil électrodomestique/électroménager

Explanation:
There is no such thing as a *land mower*--it is a typo for "lawn mower". And yes, tondeuse is correct.

The * household machinery*, in the context of preparing the home for moving, would be better labeled "household appliances": appareil électrodomestique/électroménager

The writer of this text will no doubt confuse not only the translator, but the unfortunates who get the text in English!

"tondeuse"

Explanation:
I think that land mower is correct. For household machinery, I would use "appareils electro-ménager" since the expression is household machinery.

Explanation:
Hi, ALberto

You are in trouble.

The sentence reads: "drain fuel from land mowers and other household machinery". I sure would not have any trouble draining fuel of a land mover or lawn mower (in French, ou have to be specifi, it's more than a tondeuse, it's tondeuse à gazon), but I don't know of any "appareil électro-ménager" that runs on fuel, unless it's a central heating system, which would be a "chaudière à mazout".
