Cela peut être aussi bien un fitre, une crépine, une cartouche filtrante, un tamis, un clapet, une vanne.

Cela dépend du contexte de ton texte.
S'il agit de climatisation, dans mes traductios pour la Springer-Carrier, j'utilise filtre, cartouche filtrante, ou tout simplement strainer.

crépine ou filtre ?


Explanation:
Crépine = boîte métallique percée de trous et servant de filtre à l'extrémité d'un tuyau.
J'aurais donc plutôt choisi "filtre", terme qui a l'avantage d'être plus général et donc plus de chances de satisfaire le lecteur.
