English term or phrase: color plates
Hi. Any idea about "color plates" in French?
Contexte:Dans Adobe Acrobat 4.0:
"With the Prepress dialog box in XXX, you can bypass any color management system and preserve the original CMYK and gray values in a PDF document if the file is to be used to make color plates for printing."
Merci d'avance.

films couleur

Explanation:
The word 'plate' refers to an older way of printing. But nowadays films are used to print the relevant percentages of gray which constitute the four steps of 4-color processing: printing the values of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.
Typically French-speaking typesetters use the word 'films'.
