circuit autodisjoncteur

Explanation:
This is certainly an unusual combination. I have only seen "self-retaining" applied to mechanical elements, where it translates by "prisonnier, imperdable (boulon)", "à retenue automatique (latches)" or in medical devices: "autostatique (catheter)".

In this context, however, I would opt for "circuit à disjonction automatique" ou "circuit autodisjoncteur".

I looked unsuccessfully in Termium, in the GM terminology dBase in the Routledge technical dictionary and on the Net.

Hope this helps.
