The term "issue" in English -mostly in American English- is used as a positive way to express "problem", a term seen as negative. Therefore, "issue" can cover a very wide range of things that need to be addressed. An known issue which is there, which should be addressed but is unlikely to be, because judged minor, is "chose connue". "Problème connu" refers to an issue which is recognized as a nuisance, has been investigated and is not solved.
Your context seems to better fit the second case.
