Please do not use that translation! Explanation: The subject is relational databases (bases de données relationnelles) and the term means something very specific. A key is a field which can be used to access data in a large table very quickly. A foreign key is a key that does not belong to that table but is there because you joined one table to another. THERE IS NOTHING incorrect about it. Joining tables together is what gives relational database systems their immense power.
