Twist or ripple effect is the thing. Various shades of grey are possible.
Maybe do something with twist into French? But it sounds trendy so maybe the same word used.

Explanation:
Une suggestion à partir des photos Google pour le produit en question et d'autres du même genre (twist jeans not.). Je pense que grey fait référence au short, pas à la couleur de l'effet, au passage.

J'ai un doute avec "effet griffé" - qui semblerait moins logique (car "twist") - mais qui semble plus correspondre à la photo et à l'effet en question (l'effet froissé n'est pas uniquement un délavage mais crée du relief sur le vêtement - des plis - même si la plupart du temps il possède également des "moustaches").
