Among a table of strings for reservation software; the whole sentence is hotel sort value

valeur de tri
Explanation:
As you just have a list of strings, it's a bit of a guessing game here and I do feel for you!

However, from this question and the "premium placement" question, I deduce that the reservation software allows reservations to be made from a list of hotels. These will be obviously need to be displayed in a particular order on the screen, ie sorted by some "sort value".

In an IT system, "sort value" could either be a *calculated* rank [= rang] (based on some relevance criteria) or it could be a value *typed in* by the system administrator to express a more subjective order in which the hotels should be displayed. In this case, I'd be tempted to call it a valeur (de) tri.

Overall, it is appears to be a technical term rather than something everyone will just understand. I would go for "valeur de tri" if you can't pin it down further.

I know I am neither a native French-speaker nor an expert in tourism as requested, though I hope I can help as I think understanding what it might just mean in English is half the problem and I think this is really an IT question rather than a tourism one!
