English term or phrase: Twelfth Line (Eleventh Line etc)
"He crossed the Twelfth Line."
I know that these lines are also called "concession roads" (mainly in Quebec and Ontario). What I need is a good German expression that fits smoothly in a novel. And if anybody knows an expression, is it necessary to use the numbers? Would Landstrasse be correct?

Thanx very much in advance,
Brigitte

Landstrasse

Explanation:
Landstrasse may work.
You may also consider "Bundesstrasse", a name for state roads, often one lane, occasionally two or more lanes in each direction, which wind through towns and the countryside.
