English term or phrase: Spotting or spotting list, mucking up, tracking, string pad
Hi,

I thought I had sent this out before but it's not on the list. Anyway, these terms refer to the movie world, i.e. the music part of the movie world and I am desperately looking for German equivalents.
Spotting is when they decide where to put the music into a movie, tracking means that certain cues are used in other scenes that they were not originally written for. Mucking up has something to do with the arrangement and a string pad must be some sort of an instrument.

Your help is gratefully appreciated,

String Pad = Streicherfläche
Explanation:
Hi Antje,

I can only explain the last term in your question. A "pad" is eine "Fläche" in terms of musical instruments, especially synthesizers. If the term is used to differentiate "real" strings from electronically generated or sampled instruments, it would be appropriate to use the term mentioned above. Otherwise, just use "Streicher".

Hello,

thank you for getting back to me on that. It's been such a long time since I turned in that job that I don't remember
what we decided to use for this term. I discussed that
with the PM and we came to some sort of conclusion.

Thanks you again. Your input helps.

Regards,
Antje
