English term or phrase:density forecast
"In contrast to a point forecast, which by itself contains no information about the associated uncertainty, a density forecast provides a full picture of the possible values that a variable might take at some future point in time. In other words, a density forecast of a random variable is a forecast of the entire conditional probability distribution of this variable for a future point in time."
Can anyone help with this economic term? Thanks in advance!
Explanation: I think the key is the phrase "the values a variable might take". This would translate as "die Werte mit der eine Variable belegt wird". Belegen = to fill, to cover (like input). "Beleguing" does refer to an indeterminate quantity, so this would be in the direction of a measure of density.
