Erfassung der Zahlen Explanation: figure is meant to read figures, I'm sure. The document seems to come from Papua New Guinea, Mexico, Russia? Gold is mined in remote areas of countries which have hardly been touched by western civilization. That explains the language and the incomplete fax message. 'Auf diese Art/durch diese Methode können wir eine korrekte Erfassung der Zahlen versichern, die wir für den Ausgleich Ihres Gold-Konto-Stands benötigen.' You won't find any information under 'Gold-Konto' in the net except some gimmicks for 'Gold Cards' etc. The fact is that gold is shipped in 100s of kgs and the monetary value is established on the date of resale. I got some insight into this industry while working for Air Niugini and being in charge of a branch office making the travel arrangements for Placer employees (and the cargo and the security guards). Once I witnessed the pouring of gold. bricks of 24 karat gold! Not bars, but bricks! HTH |
