English term or phrase: thinly traded stock
The Court of Appeals upheld the removal of a corporate director who had caused the corporation to purchase from him thinly traded stock that resulted in a personal gain of ...

Does a standard term exist in English? Somehow a translation of "duenn gehandelte Aktien" does not appear to make much sense to me.

Any help is appreciated!

illiquide Aktien
Explanation:
Shares that are traded with low volumes are referred to as "illiquid" - the same concept works, and is frequently used, in German.

Ralf gave me a little more info in a private mail. So, his suggestion is apparently the term used by pros!

Thanks a lot to everyone who responded! I appreciate your help!

wenig gehandelte Aktien

Explanation:
